Always Was an Ocean to Me

When our parents took us to Lake Michigan, less than 10 miles from where we lived in Chicago, I argued with them time and again that it had to be “an ocean” because I couldn’t see the other shore. They insisted it was a “lake.” Lillian was on the “Promontory” at the edge of Hyde Park. View is looking north.

Finally, I have someone who agrees with me; it’s “an ocean.”
